Intimidating looking dogs
I'm neutered, house trained, get along with kids and most importantly I am super nice. I came here with two of my friends because our owner wasn't able to take care of us any more. I am very playful, gentle and get along well with other dogs. Luckily Pet Savers had room and now I have a temporary home, hopefully I will be adopted soon. I love all the other dogs in my group and of course the staff, who take excellent care of us.I like to guard my home, which could come in handy. However I am longing to have my own family and hoping to find a forever home soon.We updated our photo so you can see how cute and grown up we look. I was emaciated, exhausted and did not have any where to lay my head. The man who found me could have taken me to several places, but thankfully he took me to Pet Savers.I have a ways to go till I gain my weight back and get healthy enough to be spayed. My rescuer said I acted like I wanted to go inside his house so I may have been someone's pet.Update: Bayou Huntress is high heartworm positive and has an infection on the pads of her paws. It would be better for Bayou Huntress if she were in a foster home. I can jump really high but I do not escape or run away. I am spayed, up to date on my shots, heartworm negative and on prevention. My adopter loved my personality and thought I was sweet but I kept digging up her backyard. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for another LSU game. While I was there, they took me to their vet and fully vaccinated me. There are ways to manage heartworms and the nice Pet Savers people can tell you all about it. I'm a small mixed breed and weigh only about 25 lbs, which you may not be able to tell from my photo.Contact Pet Savers if you are interested in providing a foster home for her. My owner was really busy running her business and could not spend a lot of time with me. I am house trained and get along with dogs, cats and children. Before she brought me back she took me to the vet and had me all checked out and my dental problems fixed. I will be eating GOOD stuff in order to get my weight where it should be. During my 2 week stay at their house, they also found out that I was house-trained, and I get along with other dogs, kids, and cats. There's only one thing, though: I am heartworm positive. At my rescuer's home, I was alone all day for like 8 hours, and that's too much alone time for a guy like me. My owner had to go to the hospital, so his Mom brought me to Pet Savers.
I am a very good girl ready to find a forever home. It felt really good getting cleaned up and a hair cut. I am a 3 year old Basset Hound mix, who had a bad situation at my house. Not to brag but we think we are pretty cute and adorable so hopefully we will be adopted very soon. I walked up to someone's land outside of Marshall, TX.My friends are all boys and I think they are younger than me maybe around 1 or 2 years old. I am definitely house trained, good with other dogs, but a bit protective over my food.I am so happy to have been rescued and have the nice people at Pet Savers take care of me and my friends. Unless stated otherwise, dogs are boarded at the Pet Savers Shelter (318-636-0400).Adopting a Shelter Dog - Free e Book This free e Book guides you through the first seven days with your new dog.
